At the beginning of last week Pirates confirmed that Kwanda Mngonyama, Abel Mabaso, Justice Chabalala, Elson Sithole, Wayne Sandilands and Thabang Monare will not be part of the squad for the new season.
One of those players – Chabalala has now received his clearance after being on the club’s books over the past six years.
Chabalala joined Pirates from Free State Stars in July 2016 but since then has been sent out on loan at Chippa United, Bloemfontein Celtic and Sekhukhune United.
Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi, his representative confirms the latest developments.
"We have received his clearance with the blessing of the chairman (Irvin Khoza) who we are grateful to for all that has happened.
"The process of finding a new opportunity for Justice is now officially on because we now have the clearance at hand.
"We will be engaging clubs with the hope that he gets to play football as soon as possible," says Mulovhedzi.
Chabalala – who is a cousin to another former Pirates defender Tonic – made over 100 appearances in the DStv Premiership since breaking through into topflight football.
