The future of Orlando Pirates' young star Boitumelo Radiopane could be decided as soon as this week according to his agent.
19-year-old Radiopane was the standout performer for Orlando Pirates in the 2021/22 season of the DStv Diski Challenge. He found the net 24 times – a new record for the reserve league and one that earned him both the league’s Leading Goal Scorer and Player of the Season awards respectively.
"We’re very excited about his future, what’s important is that we all hope he progresses to being one of the top players in the country and hopefully at the right time plies his trade at a top league in Europe," Mike Makaab - CEO of Prosport International, the agency that represents Radiopane - told Gagasi Extra Time.

In addition to his sterling form in the Diski Challenge, Radiopane also made four appearances for the senior team and pressure has been mounting on the club from the Buccaneer supporters to give the player more playing time, with the player himself, keen to learn.
"In the first team there are some guys with a lot of experience, so for me, it's all about the experience. As an individual, I want to achieve more with the team. Being on this team is something special,” Radiopane in an interview with Orlando Pirates.com last year.
While that may be a possibility, Makaab also hinted at an eventual European move for the young striker and says his future could be decided by end of this week.
"Whatever decision is made, will be made in conjunction with Orlando Pirates and Boitumelo’s family, Makaab said.
"The first step towards a great future can happen and should happen immediately, but let’s see what happens and transpires over the next few days."
