An unfortunate own goal from Keegan Ritchie handed the Soweto giants a 1-0 win over the Clever Boys at Bidvest Stadium.
Happy Jele felt Orlando Pirates dealt with Bidvest Wits' aerial threat
Jele, who was named Man of the Match, insisted that they had the right attitude coming to the game against Wits.
“It was a difficult match playing against Wits, it’s a small ground. But I’d like to thank my teammates, technical team and the fans. They came in numbers to support us,” Jele told SuperSport TV.
“The team spirit that we have is working out nowadays. I think we need to keep on pushing and fight until the end.
“We know that Wits play on long balls and we dealt with that. We had to keep the ball on the ground and play it. I’m happy, the way we played is the way we practiced. I believe in the team. The fighting spirit was there,” he said.
