Jele pursuing coaching qualifications in preparation for life after playing career

Decorated Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele has joined several other former players in undertaking their CAF C License in preparation for life after their playing careers.

Jele is currently in limbo since parting company with the Buccaneers at the start of the current season.

The Mpumalanga-born defender was recently linked with a move to Royal AM with negotiations on a purported move breaking down due to failing to agree on contractual issues.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Manqoba Ngwenya, former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, David Mathebula, former Highlands Park defender, Bevan Fransman and Baroka FC coach Vincent Kobola are among other aspiring coaches attending the course conducted by Simon Ngomane and Conti Kubheka.

Kobola has confirmed his attendance of the CAF C License course initiated by SAFA.

"So far so good," Kobola tells KickOff.

"We have been enjoying the coaching course. As young coaches it's important to study further and to acquire qualifications.

"It's also good to see a number of other former football players participating in these courses to empower themselves and open job opportunities."
