The 22-year-old striker is expected to be unveiled as a Buccaneer in the coming week to bolster Jose Riveiro's attack.

The Soweto giants sent striker Kwame Peprah out on loan to fellow DStv Premiership side Maritzburg United to gain much-needed playing time.

Peprah's departure also vacates a foreign slot that enabled Pirates to add an additional foreign player.

"The Cameroonian striker is here in South Africa. He arrived in the country this week," a source tells KickOff.

"He is based here in Johannesburg ahead of completing a move to Pirates.

Souaibou touched down on Monday ahead of completing his medical with the club set to unveil him as early as Thursday."

The Cameroonian was named the best player in Cameroon last year and featured for the Indomitable Lions at the Qatar World Cup.
