Milutin Sredojevic eager to avoid Orlando Pirates panic in Cape Town City clash

Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic is desperately trying to ease the pressure amongst his players ahead of their final two games this season.

Pirates are hot favourites in the Absa Premiership title race, leading the standings with a three-point advantage over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, who are looking to reduce that gap tonight.

But having held their nerve thus far, winning their last four matches on the trot, Sredojevic is desperate to try and “unlock” his chargers’ legs so to avoid another close call when they come up against Cape Town City this weekend.

“We want to remove the pressure from all the players legs, because it’s not easy to be under pressure and play,” said Micho.

“Sometimes, legs are not listening and even the clearest possible chances [are missed], like in the last match, which we were not happy with.

“So, we have positive things that we want to keep up and negative or critical things that we want to look at in training sessions ahead of us.

“This is how we shall refocus towards the Cape Town City game.”

Bucs are expected to depart for the Mother City on Thursday ahead of Saturday afternoon’s fixture billed for the Athlone Stadium (15h00).
