Orlando Pirates legend Thabo Mngomeni insists that his former will make life difficult for Mamelodi Sundowns despite a huge gap in the DStv Premiership standings.

The Buccaneers' winning consistency has seen them win three matches in a row.

Mngomeni says winning should be a norm at clubs like Pirates.

"I just hope they've found their rhythm because what the past seasons have taught me is that our players lack consistency," Mngomeni tells KickOff.

"I don't like players who choose games. You play well for three games and lose the fourth one...I mean we are talking about a big team here.

"We don't care about winning three games in a row, they must be used to winning Pirates it should be a norm.

"We must win always and only drop points through a draw.

"Yes, things are looking good, but that's not what we suppose to say about Pirates.

"We should be talking about Pirates the same way we do about Sundowns because we are on the same level as Sundowns.

"Yes, I'm impressed with the results but I can't say I'm over the moon. Hopefully, we will sustain the performance.

"At Pirates, you can't say you are playing for Nedbank Cup or for a certain position on the log table. You must play to win every game.

"In each and every game Pirates play people are dying in the streets we suffer heart attacks.

"We don't want the expectations to drop. So, let's hope we have found our rhythm."

Pirates are now in position four on the log table.
