Orlando Pirates midfielder Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo has shed some light on facing his former side in Marumo Gallants.
The Buccaneers extended their run of form with a third consecutive DStv Premiership win when they beat bottom-of-the-table Marumo Gallants 2-0 courtesy of goals from Monnapule Saleng and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.
The latter, who joined Pirates from Gallants at the start of the seasons said he always expected a tough encounter against his former side.
"We knew that it wasn’t going to be an easy game," Ndlondlo told the club’s media after the match.
"Playing against a team at the bottom [of the Premiership], fighting for their lives is not going to be easy. But we had to complement the good run that we’ve been on. We’ve won two games in a row. We had to top it off with this with a win, even though we knew it wasn’t going to be easy.
"So the hard work has been showing in training and we also needed to show it in the field of play."

Since his arrival, the 27-year-old central midfielder has been one of Pirates most important players, featuring 18 times for the Buccaneers so far and missing just game.
The win will be a boost for a Pirates side set to take on log-leaders and DStv defending champions Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
