Orlando Pirates gearing up for Absa Premiership climax

Orlando Pirates are hoping to gather the masses for their final clash of the season against Polokwane City in anticipation of a climax.

Pirates are chasing their first Absa Premiership title in seven years, currently leading the table with a three-point gap over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a game in hand against Black Leopards scheduled for this evening.

Following the PSL’s Disciplinary Committee ruling handed down on Monday evening, the battle will now be all down to what transpires on the field of play in their remaining fixtures.

The Buccaneers face Cape Town City in their penultimate match of the season at the Cape Town Stadium this Saturday, while The Brazilians will face Golden Arrows next Tuesday after hosting Wydad Casablanca in their CAF Champions League semi-final second leg.

With the slight advantage of a superior goal difference, the Soweto giants have their tails up and have thus already opened ticket sales for their final match of the season at home to Rise and Shine on May 11.

Hoping they can hold on to land the coveted prize, the club are keen to convene in anticipation of their fifth title in the PSL era.

The clash is scheduled to kick-off at 15h00 at the Orlando Stadium, with tickets available through Computicket at R40 for general access.
