Orlando Pirates’ new man Miguel Timm says he doesn’t feel that he’s ready for to be part of the Bafana Bafana squad just yet.

Snapped up by the Buccaneers from Marumo Gallants early in this window, Timm has been a calming presence for Bucs' supporters in the heart of the Orlando Pirates midfield.

Although he’s one of the most highly rated defensive midfielders in the country and has received raving reviews for his recent performances, the 30-year-old insists he doesn't feel ready to don the Bafana Bafana shirt.

"I don’t feel I’ve reached my best yet. It’s a transition. It takes time. I’m also trying to be patient with myself," he responded when asked if he’s expecting a Bafana Bafana call-up.

"It’s a feeling. When I feel the time is right to maybe think about Bafana, I will. But at this moment in time, no. I just want to continue improving with Orlando Pirates."

Timm has appeared in seven of Orlando Pirates’ eight games across all competitions so far. The Buccaneers boast the joint best defensive record in the league, with only three goals conceded in eight league matches. TS Galaxy and Richards Bay have conceded just as few but both have a game in hand.
