Nsabiyumva (27) has been building his profile in the domestic ranks at Jomo Cosmos and Chippa United where he was captain at both clubs.
Since his ugly departure from Chippa last year he played for Cosmos in the NFD last season before becoming a free agent after the team was relegated.
The towering defender has signed for Swedish second-tier league club Vasteras SK.
Vasteras sit in the relegation play-offs zone just past the halfway stage of the Scandinavian league which runs on a calendar year.
Mohammed Lawal, the player’s manager, confirms that the contract was offered on Sunday, but the deal was concluded yesterday.
"It is a two-year deal, and he is waiting for the work permit before he travels.
"The window in Sweden was due to close yesterday so that is why everything was concluded yesterday.
"We needed to put him into the European market in doing this deal," Lawal tells KickOff after working on the transfer in recent days.
Nsabiyumva was linked with a move to Tanzania giants Simba in recent times.
