Owen Da Gama proud of Highlands Park players

Highlands Park head coach Owen Da Gama says he is happy with the effort that is being shown by his charges on the field of play.

The Lions of the North made sure all three points remained in Tembisa on Saturday when they beat relegation-bound Maritzburg United 1-0 on Saturday.

Eighth-placed Highlands stand a good chance of making it into the top eight this season, but 'ODG' thinks it's too early to say if their season has been a success or not.

"I'm just proud of the boys," he tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I'm happy that they work very hard. I think all the games they are very, very hard in the PSL you know, every game in the PSL is a very, very hard game, everybody wants to play. So we understand that we need to push as well.

"The boys just need to work really hard and see what we can get out of the games. Ja look you can only comment at the end of the season, there are still five matches to go... I would only reserve my comment for the end of the season."

Highlands' next game will be against Free State Stars on Wednesday at Makhulong Stadium.
