Owen Da Gama says draw will be a blessing for TS Galaxy against Orlando Pirates

The Rockets visit the Mighty Bucs at Orlando Stadium in the DStv Premiership at 17h00.

A win for the Mpumalanga outfit would see them move from position 14 to 11 on the league table, while a draw would take them to 13th.

Last week's 3-0 win over Maritzburg United bagged the former Bafana Bafana coach his first win since joining the club, but the experienced Da Gama does want not to get carried away because of one result.

"No there's still a lot of hard work, one swallow doesn't make a summer you know," he tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"It was a good response but there's still a lot of hard work. You know if you look at our position where we are, we're coming up against a very good team in Orlando Pirates.

"What can one say about Pirates? Quality you know, good coaches, very good players. We will not be floored by what happened against Black Leopards you know, because we're under no illusions that they are a very good team.

"Every team is entitled to a bit of a slump here and there, but they regrouped well and came back very strong against Maritzburg."

Da Gama understands it won't be easy facing Pirates in Orlando.

"Hey anything against Pirates is a blessing you know. A draw would be a blessing, a win would be a super blessing. So you know it's a tough venue but anything is possible in football. In life anything is possible. So we're always positive about the possibilities."

Da Gama says a lot has changed at the Buccaneers since the last time he faced them.

"The Pirates that we face now, the coach is doing very, very well with Fadlu Davids and the rest of the technical team. Highlands Park was a different kind of fish to TS Galaxy. It's totally different you know.

"Yes some players played at Highlands Park but the approach is different. At Highlands Park I had time in the NFD to be with them and to build something special, now I'm starting in the PSL with Tim Sukazi to try get this team right you know.

"There's a big difference. This is not a settled team yet. We are trying to get a few things right, but I think we're on the right track."
