Mosimane was left fuming after referee Abongile Tom failed to issue a red card to Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo following a foul on midfielder Siphelele Mkhulisi.
Hlatshwayo had already received a yellow card earlier in the game and a second booking would have sent him straight to the showers.
"Then he goes to the corner and they are hugging each other [the match officials]. I don't know why they are doing that lovey dovey talk. What are they talking about?" said Mosimane.
"Why don't you take him off because he has given another a red card, so you can't give another a red card. You can give another red card, it's straightforward.
"And he goes and gives Wayne Arendse a yellow for a foul and doesn't give a yellow to Tyson on Mkhulisi. Where are the principles?"
Mosimane went on to complain about the newer match officials for not allowing coaches to speak to them during matches.
"The problem in South Africa, the mentality is that you are not supposed to talk to officials. They are supposed to talk to us," he explained.
"But why should we not speak to them? Why do they talk to us then? There is communication here. Communication is not one-way.
"But if I had Victor Gomes and I have others, they talk. You haven't seen them? I speak to them, they talk. These other ones magogorwane [amateurs]... 'no no no, stay there, back!'
"You just cross the line once and it's like the school principal with a whip. 'Why are you crossing the line, go back.'
"I mean really. You know my bra bo mafikizolo [those that just arrived], they just arrived and they are cracking the whip. We are not small coaches, we can talk."
It is not the first time Mosimane has had an issue with referee Tom, having previously called him "whistle-happy".
