Pitso Mosimane has blasted SAFA head of referees Abdul Ebrahim and questioned why he only came out to talk about a goal involving Kaizer Chiefs.
Ebrahim defended referee Jelly Chavani after he denied Chippa United what look like a legitimate goal in their penultimate Absa Premiership match against Kaizer Chiefs last week.
The Mamelodi Sundowns coach, speaking after sealing a record fifth PSL title on Saturday, was highly critical of Ebrahim for a lack of consistency in his public statements about referees.

"Abdul Ebrahim, that guy, I though it's that guy who is a musician with Mannenberg. Do you know the song Mannenberg?" Mosimane joked after his side picked up their 10th Premiership trophy.
"I said, 'Who is this guy?' But I realised this guy didn't talk about the Baroka goal that Orlando Pirates conceded. That was an offside.
"It was us against Polokwane City when Gaston [Sirino] scored that goal, he didn't complain about it. He went to Kaizer Chiefs. I don't know. He wants to be famous. He wants to be known.
"I think we made him eat humble [pie] tonight. That's football for you.

"He must comment about other goals that Sundowns didn't get. I don't know why he goes to Chiefs. What's wrong with him? I mean last time there was another debate about that goal that touched [Leonardo] Castro's head and they chose Sundowns against Chiefs, and all the time for Chiefs, why?
"What about those people who might be relegated and missed top eight and all that?. There have been many mistakes that referees have done in the bubble. We all saw. We all see.
"I can complain about the penalty I didn't get, and by the way I think Chiefs should have got a penalty against Wits. I believe the goal of Baroka stands. That's my opinion. There have been so many ups and downs.

"So sometimes I do complain, yes, but I also have to be objective to say, 'You know what, there has been a lack of consistency.'
"What I am disappointed in is this Abdul Ebrahim. I mean he wants to be famous or what? Who is this guy?"
