Sundowns were officially handed a cheque worth R1.5-million for winning Q2 during half-time of their league match against Black Leopards at Loftus Stadium on Wednesday.
The Brazilians beat Leopards 3-0 to climb to second position on the log and move three points behind leaders Bidvest Wits.
Mosimane has already won a Coach of the Month award this season but says his ultimate goal is to win the Absa Premiership again.
"I thought we would win Q1 to be honest. I don't know how we lost it, we were just there. It's good to win Q2. I know why we didn't win [Q1], because of inconsistency," said Mosimane.
"But it's not about winning the Qs, it's about winning the title. It's not about the things in between, it's how you finish. I will be happy to win the league without Q-Innovation.
"I will be happy if we win the league without Player of the Month or Coach of the Month. These things you can't swap with the trophy."
However, Mosimane believes that winning Q2 will motivate his players to continue to do better. Sundowns have only lost one league match this season, against AmaZulu.
'Jingles' added: "But it's nice when you get them. It's good that we won. Maybe it will encourage the boys a little bit.
"We have been under pressure in the last eight to ten days, it was difficult for us to lose against AmaZulu and now the team is going to be docked points [for fielding an illegible player]."
