Sundowns will be looking to win a record-extending 12th league title this season while simultaneously competing on all fronts to challenge for the CAF Champions League and the domestic cup competitions.

To that end, Masandawana have delved into the transfer market in order to bolster their star-studded squad for the upcoming campaign and recruited no fewer than six new signings to aid their cause.

Among those who have joined the ranks at Downs is former SuperSport United defender Grant Kekana. The 28-year-old arrives as a defensive reinforcement and could have a big role to play this season, particularly with the uncertainty surrounding Ricardo Nascimento's future at the club.

With Tebogo Langerman having moved on to Swallows FC, Divine Lunga will be one of the players responsible for filling the veteran left0back's shoes this season. The 26-year-old Zimbabwe international joined Sundowns from Golden Arrows, where he previously made 75 league appearances across his three seasons with the club.

Masandawana have also added to their numbers in the middle of the park after landing the signature of highly-rated midfielder, Neo Maema. The 25-year-old developed into one of Bloemfontein Celtic's star players during his four seasons in the top-flight and will be looking to carry that form over to his time at Sundowns.

Like Lunga, Ngobeni is another player who will be competing for the left-back position after arriving at Downs from Bloemfontein Celtic last month. The Mamelodi-born defender will be returning to familiar settings with his move to his local side, and will hope to leave a lasting impression in a bid to stake a claim for a place in the first team.
