PSL transfer news: Chippa United striker Zulu on Kaizer Chiefs' radar

A source at Chiefs confirms that the Soweto giants - who lost the Macufe Cup to Bloemfontein Celtic yesterday - are likely to table an offer for Zulu as they seek to strengthen their options in attack.

"Zulu has certainly caught the attention of [coach Stuart] Baxter. There is a belief that other clubs could quickly sign the player if Chiefs do not make a strong bid," says the source.

Zulu has been one of the most outstanding players for Chippa United this season, scoring crucial goals for the club and winning a call-up to the senior national team in the process.

United coach Roger Sikhakhane says he is not suprised with the interest that Zulu is attracting.

"I do not know if Chiefs will table an offer for the player. That is not my department so I cannot comment on that," Sikhakhane tells

"However, I am not really surprised that these big clubs are interested in his services. He is a quality player, certainly one of our key players.

"He is in our plans for the future because he is very important to the club. However, I will support him even if he decides to move away from the club.

"At the moment he is still our player and let us wait and see if other clubs make a bid for him. He is happy with us and he is part of the reason why we have been doing well in our recent matches," Sikhakhane adds.
