Sundowns recently announced that it had reached an amicable agreement with Kekana to part ways after meeting with their long-standing captain on Thursday.
The veteran midfielder goes down in the history as the first club captain to lift the CAF Champions League trophy under head coach Pitso Mosimane in 2016.

According to sources close to the club, Chippa has already shown a strong interest to recruit Kekana to bolster their first-team squad for the current season.
"The club is currently preparing to submit an offer imminently."
Chilli Boys head coach Gavin Hunt refused to comment on the reported interest in signing the veteran midfielder.
"I can't comment," a guarded Hunt said.
