Reneilwe Letsholonyane on his way back

accreditation

‘Yeye’ hurt his knee in the Comoros while preparing for the CAF Champions League match against Volcan Club de Moroni.

His absence has been felt, but Chiefs’ medical team will not rush him back.

“We are taking it step-by-step to ensure that he recovers completely,” a statement on the club’s website reads.

“The duration of this rehabilitation process differs from one player to another. The injury and the extent of it also have an impact on the time that a player is out.

“It’s important that a player has fully recovered before playing again in a competitive match.”

Meanwhile, football manager Bobby Motaung says they are still negotiating with Letsholonyane over a new contact.

snl24.com/kickoff understands that terms have already been agreed in principle, but Motaung says talks are taking place.

“We are in negotiations with Yeye. We will make announcements on all player movements in due course.”
