Rhulani Mokwena learning how to deal with pressure from Abraham Lincoln

Mokwena has struggled since taking over from Milutin Sredojevic as the Soweto giants find themselves in eighth position on the Absa Premiership log and knocked out of the CAF Champions League and MTN8.

Since Mokwena has taken charge they have only managed one win, against Chippa United, with one defeat against Bidvest Wits and three draws – against AmaZulu, Golden Arrows and Cape Town City.

The 32-year-old has conceded the pressure of coaching a big team like Pirates but is managing the situation by learning from former U.S. presidents that were in charge of the country during difficult times.

"I am reading a book on leadership. It's about the three former U.S. presidents that got through leadership positions during turbulent times," Mokwena tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"It's really helping me with regards to the perspective that I have with regards to the position and situation we are currently in.

"So I am reading that book at the moment. It's about the Roosevelt brothers and Abraham Lincoln, the presidents that took charge during difficult times."
