The Soweto giants dropped to 10th spot in the Absa Premiership standings after falling to a 1-0 loss to Stellenbosch on Saturday afternoon.

Mokwena did not have much to say about side's shock 1-0 defeat to Stellenbosch after yet another dominant display that could produce no goals.

"Congratulations to Stellenbosch, we go back to work, that's all we can do," Mokwena reacted on SuperSport TV after the match.

The usually outspoken caretaker coach could not explain the loss to the viewers, repeatedly saying, "Congratulations to Stellenbosch," without expanding on his side's shortcomings.

"Stellenbosch won the game and Stellenbosch deserved to win the game and congratulations to Stellenbosch," he said.

However, after being pressured to give a word to the Buccaneers supporters, he opened up a bit.

"To the Pirates fans they must just keep on supporting their players, keep supporting their team, the team loves them, they love the team but you have to be gracious in defeat and accept that 23 shots at goal, 70 percent almost possession, doesn't win you games. Congratulations to Stellenbosch," he added.
