SuperSport coach Baxter is currently negotiating with SAFA regarding the Bafana job, which was vacated in December with the sacking of Shakes Mashaba.
Da Sa resigned from Maritzburg United in March after less than three months in charge, having started the campaign at Ajax Cape Town.
"Roger de Sa will become the new coach of SuperSport United and his agent [Steve Kapeluschnik] is engaging the club," a source tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Stan [SuperSport director of football, Matthews] has said they already have a coach in place if Stuart Baxter leaves at the end of the season. SAFA will have to pay R6-million to SuperSport as the settlement for Baxter's contract and terms have already been agreed between SuperSport and SAFA, and all [that] needs to be done now is for Stuart to agree terms with SAFA."
Owen da Gama took temporary charge of Bafana for the recent friendlies with Guinea-Bissau and Angola.
