Royal AM CEO Sinky Mnisi has opened up on events leading up to John Maduka leaving the club for Maritzburg United.

"I want to set the record straight," Mnisi told Sports Night Amplified.

Minisi revealed that he received a call from Maduka's agent Neo Madlala who informed him that the coach wanted to begin the process of a mutual termination.

"After the call I asked that can you then ask our coach to co-sign that particular email instead of a co-signature, I received an email directly from the coach saying that he has actually instructed Neo Madlala to ask for a mutual termination," says Mnisi.

Since Maduka's departure, there's been confusion as to how the KZN club would handle their transfer business without a head coach.

"We cannot wait for the appointment of the coach to acquire players," Mnisi added.

"The management of Royal AM attends to the acquisition of players, that is me, Andile Mpisane and MamMkhize."

Gavin Hunt, Dan Malesela and Owen Da Gama have all been linked with the Royal AM head coach position.

"The new coach of Royal AM will be announced on 28 June, it will be a local coach. We need an experienced coach that understands local football," the former Highlands Park shareholder said.
