Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento has confirmed that he will not be continuing at Royal AM in the new season.

Nascimento joined Royal AM at the beginning of 2022 after the end of a decorated five-and-a-half year stay at Mamelodi Sundowns where he won all trophies including the CAF Super Cup.

At Royal AM, the 36-year-old has continued displaying his qualities playing as a central defender.

In the just ended season he was full value with three goals (plus two assists) in 24 appearances.

However, Royal AM have chosen against exercising the option of a further year on his contract.

Nascimento has since informed KickOff that he is already pursuing other options with two rival clubs already being engaged in that regard with plans to play for at least a further season.

Meetings with prospective employers have been scheduled for this week.

The left-footed defender has previously played back home in Brazil before European spells in Austria and Portugal.
