Amos, who has appeared in a number of squads for the Israeli national side, but has also made it clear he wants to represent Bafana Bafana, has been one of the best goalkeepers in Israel over the past few years.

The 29-year-old, who has previously attracted attention from Orlando Pirates, was born in Vanderbijlpark and spent seven years with Israeli side Ironi Kiryat Shmona, where he won the league championship in the 2011/12 season, playing a starring role in that triumph.

He was in fact voted the Israel Football Association Player of the Year at the end of that campaign.

He moved to Hapoel Tev Aviv in 2013, but long made known his ambition to play in a European league and fell out of favour at the club, despite still be regarded as one of the top keepers in the league.

He joined Hapoel Akko last season but couldn’t help the club avoid relegation to the second-tier.
