Wits players finally received their outstanding salaries this morning, except for Monare and Hlanti, who both had their contracts terminated by the club recently.

In fact, it was Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila that announced the two players were released via social media, which took the former Wits stars by surprise at the time.

Hlanti has already started training with Kaizer Chiefs while Monare's next destination is still unknown.

SAFPU deputy general secretary Calvin Motloung has confirmed there are a few players that have not yet received their full salaries for September but is hopeful to sort everything out very soon.

"I want to thank Bidvest Wits for their co-operation. They honoured their promise and the players were paid their salaries last night," Motlaung tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"There are outstanding issues with certain players with regards to their full payment. Some had their contracts terminated on 22nd September, which means they worked for September, they deserve their salaries.

"We are working on that issue and the club has promised to sort everything out very soon."
