After an 11-match unbeaten run in the league, Amakhosi find themselves two points behind leaders Bidvest Wits, who have two games in hand.

But with seven matches to go, and with Wits, Cape Town City, SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns all still to face each other again, Komphela is optimistic.

“We are watching the log and the fixtures at this stage, especially as our title contenders play against each other. It makes for an interesting finish to this league season,” he is quoted as saying on the club’s official website.

“We will still respect the rest of the opponents irrespective of their positions on the log. I’m glad we are well within reach of winning the big one.”

In summary after their latest 2-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic, Komphela adds that their is a hunger within the squad for more wins.

“We defended well, while we scored beautiful and technical goals, and the clean sheet is another plus. A win for our supporters makes us want to win more,” he adds.
