Steve Komphela says anxiety is a factor in Kaizer Chiefs' performances

Komphela was speaking to SuperSport after his side lost 2-0 to Platinum Stars at Royal Bafokeng Stadium after a Ndumiso Mabena brace.

“It’s a terrible performance again, in fact the result is bad, and again when you look at it we have patches when we see a team in motion, but coming to the final third, again, we need to be a little bit more composed,” he said.

“There were chances when we got into the box but we are not as calm as it’s supposed to be and it does give a bit of pressure and the minute you start paying with an element of anxiety it takes away a bit of quality out of you.

“Congratulations to Platinum Stars, they got their chances and they took them well but they were also out of our own mistakes…

“We are not really clinical, we need to show a bit of hunger, especially in the final third, we need to be a little bit quicker and more urgent.”
