The 23-year-old was an Absa Premiership champion with Bidvest Wits in 2016/17, when they edged Mamelodi Sundowns to the title, the first in the PSL era for the Clever Boys.

Ntshangase is on loan to Matsatsantsa from the Clever Boys and feels the two sides are similar direct type of football.

SuperSport have made a promising start to the current campaign compared to the last one, winning three of their first five matches. They are currently in sixth position, just four points behind leaders Wits ahead of their clash with returnees Black Leopards at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday (15h00).

“Yes, we can [challenge for the title]. I always say that in South African football, a team that can defend can win you titles. I learnt that from coach Gavin Hunt. But a team that can play only and not defend will have a problem as time goes by,” Ntshangase tells snl24.com/kickoff.

“I think SuperSport has those players who know how to defend and they know how to win and manage different games because there are teams that play a different style of football. So you need to be able to deal with that. If you look at SuperSport and Wits, they are playing similar direct type of football, which makes it difficult for other teams to deal with them because they play winning football.”
