SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has been left frustrated at the delay in registering new Namibian striker Benson Shilongo for the current season.

The former Platinum Stars attacker signed with SuperSport over a month ago but is still yet to make his debut after a delay in being registered at the club.

Shilongo was previously on the books of Maccabi Bnei Raina in Israel before returning to South Africa.

SuperSport are currently relying on the threadbare attack of Thamsanqa Gabaza and Bradley Grobler for goals this season as the Tshwane side mounts a title challenge.

"It's legal stuff, I don’t understand as it doesn't make sense to me," Hunt said.

"We are going to be guided by the front office.

Hunt's side is set to break for a couple of weeks due to the upcoming Qatar World Cup before heading to KwaZulu-Natal for a mid-season training camp.

"It's a negative now that we have to break after just 11 or 12 games played so far this season," Hunt added.

"It's the first time in the history of football, It’s weird."
