Swallows FC sign Njabulo Ngcobo from Uthongathi PSL transfer news

GladAfrica Championship winners Swallows FC have landed a top talent in Uthongathi FC centre-back Njabulo Ngcobo.

"Yes it's true, it's something that happened last night around six in the evening," Ngcobo tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I signed for a year with a two-year option. As someone who is still new in the PSL, I thought it would be right to join a team that will afford me game-time. Hey, I'm so happy my brother, even at home they are so happy.

"It's been my dream to play in the PSL, so I've finally managed to get an opportunity. Swallows has been trying to get me to sign for them for some time now, at last we managed to agree.

"The fact that I worked with the Swallows coach [Brandon Truter] before at Richards Bay also played a role, and also the football they play. I promise the Swallows fans I will add value in their team. We are not in the PSL for a visit, we are here to stay."

Meanwhile, the Cane Cutters official was also asked about rumours that goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare is on his way to either Swallows or JDR Stars.

"As for Badra, he's not very clear with me. I still need him but ja he's telling me a lot of stories, I don't even know what is happening with him," Mojapelo admits.

"I've told him, 'Badra, you are a good goalkeeper, you belong in the PSL, you don't have to sign with any other big team. Just stay with us man maybe we look for a better offer.'

"Because his contract was also due [to expire]. I heard his agent saying there might be something at Swallows... I don't know. But I would really not like to talk too much about those who are out of contract."
