This is after Amakhosi were booted out of the MTN8 by Orlando Pirates on Tuesday, with Dumitru lashing out at their ‘low grade’ of play.
“Traditionally, Chiefs’ successes are not based on direct, long ball, muscle and physicality, as was the case [on Tuesday] against a more composed Pirates,” the Romanian commented on a social media platform.
“Creativity is not the key feature in Chiefs game anymore. In fact, the team’s current image is getting closer to what is displayed by low grade English outfits. Some changes in the style are needed asap.”
Meanwhile, Dumitru has dismissed rumours that he might be on his way to Limpopo to take over the coaching reigns at Polokwane City.
He tells snl24.com/kickoff that he is not yet ready to coach any local team at the moment.
