Rakhale won man of the match after their 1-0 win over AmaZulu last Saturday at King Zwelithini Stadium, another top performance from the former Orlando Pirates winger.

"I said it there weeks before that he deserves a look-in. I heard another coach talking about his players to be considered for the national team and I think maybe it's time I talk about my players too," Larsen said.

"Thabo is currently playing his best football of his career and if I look at the current Bafana team, without a doubt he can fit in. He can eliminate defenders and the good thing about him now is that he can defend."

Rakhale had a chance to respond to his coach's comments after the Usuthu game as he spoke with the media and felt those comments makes him want to work extra hard.

"Personally I want to improve as a player. The only thing I can say is those comments from the coach means I'm doing something right. I have to work extra hard to help the team," he said.

The former Orlando Pirates player was asked what Larsen has done to change his game after a very low point in his career at Parktown.

"He has not done anything much to me personally, I believe he helps everyone in the team, it's all about listening to his instructions and putting them into action," he explained.
