Three of Mamelodi Sundowns' new recruits feature in the DStv Premiership's most valuable new-signings XI while there is also a spot for two of Kaizer Chiefs' latest acquisitions.

The dust has finally settled on another exciting transfer window in the South African top flight which saw a host of high-profile deals take place across the league during the extended registration period.

Reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns were among the most active teams in the market and bolstered their squad with a number of stars who rank among the DStv Premiership's most valuable players.

This is therefore not a list of the most expensive signings. Consideration was also only had for players who completed transfers during the most recent transfer window.

That includes Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams who was signed from SuperSport United, Chile international Marcelo Allende, who is believed to have been the league's record signing, and Bongani Zungu on a free transfer, among others.

Williams and Allende rank as the league's two most valuable signings at R22.5 million and R27.7 million, respectively, although the transfer fee paid by Sundowns for the latter is believed to have been a substantially higher figure.

Meanwhile, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Lyle Lakay, who both parted ways with Downs during the window, both also feature in the XI following their respective moves to TS Galaxy and Cape Town City.

Kaizer Chiefs also enjoyed an active window and roped in the services of no fewer than nine new players, including Siyethemba Sithebe on a free from AmaZulu and former academy graduate Zitha Kwinika from Stellenbosch FC.

Elsewhere, the former Orlando Pirates duo of Thulani Hlatshwayo and Siphesihle Ndlovu both join the list following their moves to SuperSport United, while Daniel Cardoso takes a spot in defence after joining Sekhukhune United.
