Thindwa: 'Immediate Chiefs success expectations unfair on Arthur'

Zwane's side will renew their rivalry with reigning DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

The Soweto giants have gone on a run of four consecutive defeats before a win over Marumo Gallants in their latest DStv Premiership match.

Thindwa believes that the Amakhosi faithful need to show patience in their expectations of Arthur Zwane.

"It would be unfair to expect Arthur to change Chiefs' fortunes overnight," Thindwa tells KickOff.

"He has just taken over from Stuart Baxter, the players themselves have got to want to have the drive to beat Sundowns.

"In our generation, we used to think like that. I'm not sure the current generation still does that because they are the 'PlayStation generation'.

"We never played PlayStation, instead we used to plan for such games two weeks in advance.

"It's a difficult one to predict because Sundowns are on fire, they've won the majority of their games, whereas Chiefs have lost a majority of their recent games.

"But other than that they've not been doing well, but games like this depend on the individuals, the players.

"How badly do you as a player want to win the match, and you must do it on your own without depending on the coach's instructions."
