Moussa Dembele, Heung-Min Son, Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen were all on target as the Lilywhites made easy work to sweep aside the Cherries.
It took just 16 minutes for the hosts to break the deadlock as Dembele opened the scoring with a shot from six yards out, after Christian Eriksen's corner fortuitously landed at the midfielder's feet.
Three minutes later the scoreline was doubled as Son raced down the right flank, after picking up a pass from Kane, and the South Korean rifled home a diagonal shot from inside the box.
Kane then turned scorer three minutes after the second-half restarted as he beat Artur Boruc from inside the penalty area, after good work from Dele Alli and Eriksen down the right.
Janssen, who came on for Eriksen in the 86th minute, sealed the victory in second-half stoppage time as he finished from close range after more dismal defending from Bournemouth.
Spurs now trail leaders Chelsea by four points, with the Blues set to face off with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
