Pule started off the season brightly in his new colours after arriving from Bidvest Wits on a free transfer, scoring five goals in seven games – including the Soweto Derby – between the end of August and the end of October.
However, the 27-year-old has since fizzled out, having missed the last four games while contributing just one assist in his last seven games since the start of February.
He has since conceded that his first campaign at the Soweto giants is not quite signifying of his capabilities but explains that injury struggles have also played a role therein.
“So far, I’m kind of happy but, you know, there’s always room for improvement. I think I have to do more and improve as a player,” Pule tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“I think the injuries have also [affected me], but every footballer has to go through some injuries, and I think that obviously slows your progress. I’ll be back soon.”
Though he did not feature in the 1-0 win over his former club at the weekend, Pule could make a return when The Buccaneers host Black Leopards at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday evening (19h30).
