Captain Ronwen Williams insists SuperSport United will give their all when they face Mamelodi Sundowns in a Tshwane derby in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.

SuperSport will be aiming to get back to winning ways after suffering defeat to Marumo Gallants in their previous encounter on Friday.

Matsatsantsa has now tasted defeat on three occasions with their opponents still unbeaten so far this season.

Kaitano Tembo's side will be desperate to a win over the Brazilians at Loftus Versfeld Stadium if they hope to bridge the gap to the top of the standings.

"They are the champions and have been doing well throughout the season.

"They haven't conceded, so it shows the work they're putting in on the training ground is working for them," Williams said.

"We are going to go there and fight. We've got our own ambitions and targets.

"Obviously we've let ourselves down in our previous results, especially losing at home.

"We want to go out there and rectify our mistakes and give a better account of ourselves.

"We're going to go out there and fight as much as we respect them we need to go there and fight and battle.

"We're not going to go there and make it easy for them. We need to get the points on the board and close the gap.

"They are on top, so we want to close the gap and like I said we have our own targets.

"We're going to go there and fight and hopefully give a much better performance than the previous one," Williams added.

Kick-off is at 17:30.
