Tanzanian giants Yanga SC have dismissed reports that they have sold striker Fiston Kalala Mayele to Kaizer Chiefs.

Reports emerged in the media earlier this week that Mayele had signed a three-year contract with Amakhosi after the two clubs reached an agreement.

The 28-year Congolese striker finished the season in Tanzania as the second-highest goal scorer with 16 strikes.

Besides Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates were also reported to have shown interest to bring Mayele to the DStv Premiership.

Yanga official, Hersi Said confirmed Mayele is set to remain at the club next season.

"We saw the rumours yesterday. We received many calls from journalists both in Tanzania and South Africa. Mayele is not going anywhere," Said tells KickOff.

"We have not received any tangible offers from Kaizer Chiefs or any other club.

"The boy has a two-year contract with us. He is not going anywhere and he will be with us next season," he added.

Yanga are set to travel to Turkey before the end of this month for their pre-season training.
