Maart has signed a three-year deal with an option of another two years.

He will earn a six-figure salary and will also receive a six-figure signing on fee which will rise with every season.

Maart is represented by one of just few female agents on the domestic scene who has worked with him since his days at Orlando Pirates where the agent also enjoys close contacts.

The 26-year-old featured in 28 games this past season for Sekhukhune and has negotiated his way into Bafana Bafana.

At Sekhukhune he doubled up as captain and will now be expected to provide the central midfield influence that Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has been longing for.

Zwane has cried out for a ball playing central midfielder who will do a better job that what was offered by Kearyn Baccus and Teddy Akumu.
