Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims he'll be "the God of Manchester"

Cantona welcomed the well-travelled striker to Old Trafford in a short video for Eurosport, yet warned the 34-year-old that there “can only be one king in Manchester”.

Ibrahimovic has since responded to the jibe in the way he only knows best.

"I admire Cantona and I heard what he said," Ibrahimovic is quoted as saying in Swedish paper Aftonbladet.

"But I won't be king of Manchester. I will be god of Manchester."

Ibrahimovic is expected to start training with his new team-mates this week but it is unknown whether he will join the Red Devils  squad on their pre-season tour to China.
