Reports in Spain suggest that manager Carlo Ancelotti wants Cristiano Ronaldo back at Real Madrid.

Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito announced on Monday night that Edu Aguirre, reportedly a close friend of Ronaldo's and a reporter for the show, had some "breaking news" regarding the Portuguese superstar.

According to Aguirre, Los Blancos boss Ancelotti has opened discussions with the club regarding bringing the Juventus star back to LaLiga.

The Italian tactician reportedly sees the 36-year-old as someone who can improve his current team and wants the player's signature secured.

It is further claimed that Los Blancos' dressing room would be in favour of Ronaldo returning to the club.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been linked with an exit from Turin ever since reports in Italy suggested that Juventus are not going to renew his contract, which is set to expire in June 2022, due to financial constraints.

Despite Aguirre stating that the Italian manager is "obsessed" with the idea re-signing Ronaldo for Real, though, this potential transfer could remain an afterthought for now.

Los Blancos president Florentino Perez said earlier this year that a Ronaldo return would not be feasible, while it is also believed that any funds his side have will be put towards a move for Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.
