Steve Komphela believes this year's Africa Cup of Nations will give Bafana Bafana a chance to showcase our identity as a country.
The Golden Arrows coach was asked about South Africa's chances in a Nations Cup group with Morocco, Ivory Coast and Namibia.
"About the draw, tough one, but again who is in an easy one? It won't be easy for all the teams in the tournament, we just need to go there and perform," said Komphela.
"We must use this tournament to reflect on who we are as a nation. When you go to the World Cup they profile us as Africans. In that tournament we must show the continent who is South Africa and what we are made of.
"Firstly let's give respect to players and coaches from other teams. Surely we are going there to win like any coach. We must start with the group stage then move to the next stage. We must have an arrogance and belief that we can win the cup."
