Former Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits midfielder Bantu Mzwakali opened his goalscoring account in Europe with a match-winning performance for IK Brage.
Mzwakali has been a regular feature for the Swedish Superettan side since joining the club in January and opened his goalscoring account for the season on Tuesday during a comprehensive 5-0 Swedish Cup victory over Vasalunds IF.
Teenage starlet Noa Williams had given Brage the lead in the first half before Mzwakali took hold of the match in the second stanza, netting his first goal for the club in 71st minute before setting Leo Pllana up for his side's third of the afternoon just six minutes later.
Pontus Jonsson then added his name to the scoresheet before Williams netted his second of the encounter to ensure the Swedish second-division side secured their progression to the Group Stage of the cup tournament in style.
Mzwakali, who is bouncing back after failed spells with Chippa United, Wits and Cape Umoya United, has made 21 appearances for Brage since moving to Europe where has now played a hand in five goals, scoring once and recording four assists across all competitions.
