Bongani Zungu backtracks on Amiens criticism

accreditation

Zungu recently made headlines across South Africa and France after he publicly criticised Amiens and Hinschberger in an explosive interview with Soccer Laduma.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star revealed that he no longer wished to play for the club, with his comments coming just weeks after he was accused of being overweight by his French coach.

However, Zungu has since sought to clarify his comments and apologised for allowing his emotions to get the better of him.

"I can be clumsy but I am honest. I am attached to Amiens. I have nothing but respect for the club, for the president, for the coach, for all the people that are working hard here and for the fans.

"Just like you, I have concerns about the situation. Amiens does not belong to the bottom of Ligue 2. It is not a time to fight each other. It’s not just about me.

"What is at stake is above us. We have to work all together and make it up. Right now, it is the only thing that matters.
