Dino Ndlovu optimistic over Azerbaijan Cup chances

Ndlovu was on target again last night as Qarabag beat Neftchi PFK 2-0 in their semi-final first leg away from home.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns striker scored a 24th minute header to take his tally to 11 goals in all competitions this seasons, while he is now joint top goalscorer (4) in the cup campaign.

Ndlovu, though, is wary of the challenge that lies ahead in the second leg game next week Wednesday, before they can celebrate their advancement to the final of the competition on May 5.

"It's not yet over. There is still a second leg match to be played, and we need to make sure we double our efforts for the home game," Ndlovu tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"If we do that, I am confident that we will go all the way to the final."

With four league games left in the season, Qarabag are currently top of the table and on course for a UEFA Champions League play-off spot, with 49 points from 23 games – two points ahead of second-placed Gabala.
