Ex-Chiefs star begins training with new club

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom has began training with Major League Outfit  St. Louis City following his move from South Africa.

Blom sealed a move from Amakhosi to Major League Soccer side St. Louis City in December for an undisclosed fee and a 2-year-contract.

His new club, St.Louis City have taken to social media to confirm that the 23-year-old has landed in the US and started training with his new teammates.

The 22-year-old midfielder was one of Arthur Zwane's most relied on players this season, racking up 14 appearances for Amakhosi in the first half of the season.

The MLS season is set to return to action in February and the club has revealed that Blom will don the jersey number 6. He will work under former Chiefs and Bafana Bafana defender Bradley Carnell, who revealed that he's revealed to see the star finally land in the US

"Finally we get to work. let's enjoy this journey Mzansi," Carnell said via Twitter.

Blom will also look to keep his place in the Bafana Bafana for a crucial 2023 Afcon Qualifier against Liberia in March. He joins two other South African players plying their trade in the top flight of US football in Bongongokuhle Hlongwane and Katlego Ntsabeleng.
