Dolly returned to his Ligue 1 club Montpellier in high spirits following his 90 minute run-out for Bafana against Libya last weekend, and earned himself a starting berth to face Lebo Mothiba's Strasbourg on Saturday.
However, the joy was short-lived as the 25-year-old was forced off after just six minutes on the park as he was seen limping down the touchline.
It has since been confirmed that the former Mamelodi Sundowns star has suffered a fracture to his tibia - otherwise known as a calf bone.
Dolly will on Monday undergo surgery to repair the damage, and is expected to be out for up to three months, making his chances of turning out for Bafana again this year very slim.
Despite the untimely setback, the Johannesburg-born winger is remaining upbeat and vowed to come back stronger than before through a post on social media.
Thank you all for the messages of encouragement???????? I’ll work hard to come back even stronger

Dolly is expected to miss Bafana's back-to-back 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Seychelles next month, as well as the hosting of Nigeria in the same campaign at the start of November.
