Masegela is ex-product of Diambars, Lille’s South African academy which was based in Sunward Park in Boksburg. He has been in France for over three weeks.
Diambars is where Bafana Bafana assistant coach Thabo Senong cut his teeth.
According to former Diambars coach Ghomba Napoleon Sime, Lille have been very impressed with Masegela.
“He is on trial right now in Lille and from what I’m hearing he is very skillful,” the Cameroonian tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“He just turned 18 and he’s fleet-footed. South African can really count on him in the future. I want you guys to look at him and you will find something there."
